Firm Overview

Founded in the 1920's, the firm of Herndon, Coleman, Brading & McKee is engaged in the general practice of civil law in Upper East Tennessee. The majority of our civil litigation is in the courts of Washington, Sullivan, Carter, Johnson, Unicoi, Greene and Hawkins Counties and the United States District Court in Greeneville, Tennessee, but often we appear in the courts of the other counties of the area, including Hancock, Hamblen, Cocke, Sevier, Jefferson and Knox Counties. We represent clients in civil cases involving personal injury and property damage, products liability, medical malpractice, worker's compensation, premises liability, wrongful discharge, employment discrimination, civil rights, malicious prosecution, insurance, contract disputes, property line disputes, and so forth.

We also offer services in business, corporate, commercial, estate and property matters, including business organization and planning, bankruptcy, creditors’ remedies, and residential and commercial real estate. Such services include the preparation of contracts, partnership agreements, corporate organizational documents, employment agreements, powers of attorney, wills and trusts, deeds, leases, title searches and opinions, deeds of trust, all real estate loan closing documents, and the closing of real estate transactions. We are also agents for two national title insurance companies.
